Friday

Last day in London. More damn stairs, of course.

I went on a river cruise down Thames. A lovely day....sunny.

Then Tony and I went down to the market...a big farmer's market. A little bit of everything down there. After that, I went down to the Globe Theater. Not the original since it's not around anymore, but pretty close.

It's been a really nice week. Great weather--I got lucky.

Saw some things I went to some place I had been before: Big Ben, Trafalgar Square. And went to some places I had never been before: Stratford, Picadilly Circus.

I met some really nice people from all over the world. A cabbie who had just spent 3 weeks in the US driving from San Francisco to San Diego, stopping in various places along the way. He and his friend had a great time and only drove on the wrong the side of the road once. They went into Tijuana, Mexico for one day, which turned into four it was so much fun. It wasn't until the returned to San Diego they heard how dangerous Mexico could be. He was a blast to talk to.

I can't wait for my next trip. Wonder when it's going to be. I wonder if I can avoid stairs next time. Probably not.

The London Eye. Want to go for a ride?

Saw this from the cruise. The Phoenix Warf. A sign?
