Thursday

How in God’s name is it possible is it possible there was more of this city for me to walk today? And that everywhere I had goes today was upstairs. And, yet, somehow, when I was leaving, it STILL upstairs!!!!!  My knees and feet are on fire. I am never walking again. Next place I visit is going to be no bigger than a postage stamp…say Monaco.
I started back at the museum because I only saw one wing the other day. Today I went for the other; again the DaVinci line was too long. When I walked over to where it was, the guy taking the tickets, asked told me they were sold out anyway when I told him the line was too long for me to wait I was just taking a peak. He then asked me to stand over to the side while he helped some people. He pointed to a particular area for me to stand. I did as he asked…looked up…I was standing right in front of the Last Supper. I almost passed out. I was there for about 5 minutes when he came and got me. He gave me a little wink as I left. Such a sweetie. I think we might be engaged now.
Then, I went to yet another museum…you know they have more than one in this town? I had afternoon tea at the British Museum. I would like to start afternoon tea in the US. I love it.
Then, of course, more damn walking. Even when taking the tube, have to walk to it one and then, there are stairs. Stairs, stairs, and more stairs.
I finished the day off by going to a show. We Will Rock You. The music of Queen.  Today happens to be the 20th anniversary of Freddie Mercery’s death from Aids. The story of the show is ok, but the music is great.

I was standing here, overlooking Trafalgar Square, taking it all in. Enjoying the moment when I was brought back to earth by police sirens. Nice while it lasted.

Oh, hell no!

Russel Street. Last time I was here, I found Queen Victoria St. What are the chances I'll find Munoz St?
