Today’s events:
Just went to a little village. It didn’t have much historical value to it at all. A guy who was born there wrote a few things. Just some guy named Billy Shakes..something.
Oh, I forget I’m in England, it would be Willy Shakes…something. He wrote something called Romeo & Juliet. I’m sure you’ve never heard of it. And something called Taming of the Shrew. Never heard of that either, huh? How about Much Ado About Nothing? Nope? Well, he wrote only 38 plays, so chances are you’ve never heard of him.
We went to Stratford-Upon-Avon http://stratford-upon-avon.co.uk/ today. A nice little mix of old an new. I was surprised to not see people walking around in period dress. Maybe they do it during the summer when the place is busy with tourist.
The drive was nice, up the M40. For some reason, I was not allowed to drive the brand new Jaguar. Ok, so I’ve never driven a left-handed car on the left side of the road, but there is always a first time. I’m a very good driver. Really, I am. Really.
On the way back, we took a little detour through Amersham. It’s a village where they film one of my favorite shows, Midsomer Murders. Everyone dies in Midsomer. We were lucky to have made it out alive.
Not sure what I’m going to do tomorrow. Too many things to do. Another museum? A trip to Windsor? A trip down the Thames?
Everyone have a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Love to everyone.
