Saturday

Back home. After a very long flight, but I'm home safely. Tired and wondering if and when I'll ever sleep again.

It was a great week. Lucky with the weather and the things I got to see. I would suggest maybe some moving sidewalks in London. And elevators, people! Come on! For the love of God!!!!  Um, I digress....

A beautiful city with very lovely people. The food is pretty good to...do NOT try Garkunkels. Their hamburgers are horrible. But, if you like Indian food that are some really good places to go.

Thanks to my friend, Tony, I now know how to pour a proper English cup of tea. Thanks, Tony for everything.

Now, time to deal with the laundry and put everything away and then plan the next trip. What lucky country will get the honor of my presence???

  1. What a wonderful holiday! Thanks for the blog - next best thing to being there and a whole lot less stairs lol

  2. Well Vicky it was wonderful finally to meet you and explain how tea should be made and that there is a 'u' in colour. And that fog in November is normal, though a temperature above 50 degrees is not (you were sooooo lucky). And that you can have a game that lasts 5 days and doesn't have a result yet is fascinating.

Was interesting to compre our views of what constitutes 'history'. Cheese in your fridge with a mild blue mold is not historic. Houses that are barely standing in Stratford and yet are still only 500 years old just about count as history. Stonehenge next time. Several thousand years counts, even over here.

Never eat a hamburger in London. Same reason I would never drink an English beer in Phoenix.

Will look forward to your next trip, will try to find some different experiences. And should any of your friends ever be over this way and need an amateur guide, it would be my pleasure.

You are a remarkable lady, it was a privilege to meet you. And you will always be the first person to have met Miranda2.

    Tony
